Track Saw Ripping Setback Tool - Guide - Setback 3mm or 6mm for first Rip - Shipping Product
$8.99
Here is another tool I made for myself and thought you might like. I saw a Festool rep use the "Guide Rail Limit Stop" to setback his track 6mm from the edge so he could cleanly rip off the factory edge.
Smart guy! Always take that factory edge off and start clean. The limit stop he used has a 6mm tab on it so it's almost perfect. Almost!
I routinely need every single 16th(or mm) of the plywood! So I made this little tool to setback the track only 3mm.
Do you need this little tool? No, probably not.
Do you want this little tool? Heck yeah!
It has 6mm and 3mm tabs.
It has a nice long handle that's comfortable to use.
It has a hole through it in order to hang it on something. That same hole will take a magnet too. Just glue it in. Or, just throw it in the Systainer.
How does it work again? Ok, lay your track along the factory edge of the plywood. Use this tool as you see me do in the video to push back the rail the distance you prefer to cut off. Yup, 6mm or 3mm. Put your saw on and rip it.
It comes in every color as long as it is Green. The green in use may not match your tool's green color however. I may fire up some other colors if you keep buying these. Message me if you want a different color.
Does not include saw or track.
I don't think i'll be retiring from the sales of this little tool but hopefully you get some use out of it and maybe shop around and add something else to your cart!
